Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid – Friday, 11PM

Celta Vigo come into the match in top form, unbeaten in their last five games – winning the last four. Their impressive run of form has seen them rise into sixth place with 40 points.

The hosts beat Girona 2-1 in their last outing, while Madrid lost 1-0 at home to Getafe. This was a second straight defeat for Madrid, with pressure mounting on Alvaro Arbeloa to turn things around.

Celta Vigo are looking to complete a league double over Madrid after beating them 2-0 at the Bernabeau on December 7. This victory was their only one in the last five head-to-head matches against Madrid, losing the other four.

Despite the long injury list for the visitors, they still boast plenty of talent in their squad – good enough to register an away win here. However, the hosts have scored in their last six games and are tipped to get at least one here.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad – Saturday, 8:30PM

There was nothing to separate these two sides in the reverse fixture in January, with the game resulting in a 1-1 stalemate. Atletico are seeking a third consecutive league win here.

The home team are coming off wins against Espanyol and Oviedo, leaving them in third place with 51 points. Sociedad on the other hand are in eighth with 35 – losing just once in their last five league games.

Sociedad still have a realistic chance of qualifying for Europe next season as they sit just five points outside the top six. They are fresh off a comprehensive 3-0 aggregate victory against Bilbao to book a place in the Copa del Rey final.

Meanwhile, Atletico booked their spot in the final after a 4-3 aggregate win against Barcelona. With this match acting as a prequel to the highly anticipated final on April 18.

Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona – Saturday, 11PM

La Liga leaders Barcelona are seeking a third consecutive win when they travel to Bilbao on Saturday. They have scored seven goals in their last two wins against Levante and Villarreal, conceding just one goal.

They take on a Bilbao side who are unbeaten in their last five La Liga games, with their three-game winning streak snapped by a 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano last time out.

Bilbao are in ninth place with 35 points as they seek a first La Liga win against Barcelona since 2019. Ferran Torres scored a brace to inspire a 4-0 Barca win in the reverse fixture last November.

Barca have won all the last five matches against Bilbao, scoring 16 times and conceding just once. Their recent dominance over Bilbao is set to continue here with the La Liga title inching ever so close to their reach.

Villarreal vs Elche – Sunday, 4PM

Following their defeat to Barcelona in their last outing, Villarreal are looking to bounce back to winning ways at home to Elche. The yellow submarine maintain fourth place with 51 points, with a chance to break into the top three.

They welcome an Elche side who are without a win in their last five games, sitting in 17th place with 26 points – just two above the dreaded relegation zone. Elche have lost three of their last five league games.

Villarreal were 3-1 winners when these two teams last met in January. The last time these sides played out to a draw was in 2022.

The hosts have an edge ahead of this encounter and are tipped as favorites to return to winning ways here.
