Gor Mahia will host KCB FC at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday evening in a SportPesa League Round 21 encounter, with kickoff scheduled for 4pm EAT.
The hosts are looking to consolidate their lead at the summit of the table, while the Bankers aim to rediscover their consistency and climb back into the top four conversation.
Gor Mahia, currently sitting at the top of the log with 43 points, enter the tie in imperious form under Ghanaian coach Charles Akonnor. K’Ogalo are riding a five-match winning streak, most recently securing a 2-1 victory over APS Bomet.

Gor Mahia vs KCB
Having already edged KCB 1-0 in the first leg of the season, the record champions are favorites to complete a league double and maintain their seven-point cushion over second-placed AFC Leopards who won yesterday to reduce the deficit to four.
For the visitors, KCB occupies 8th place with 29 points. The Bankers are coming off a 1-1 draw against Kariobangi Sharks and have struggled to string together consecutive wins in the second leg.
While they have been difficult to beat on the road maintaining a six-match unbeaten away run cracking one of the league’s meanest defense will require a clinical edge that has often eluded them in high-profile fixtures this season.

Gor Mahia continue to navigate life without top scorer Felix Oluoch. The striker, who has netted 7 goals this season, remains sidelined with patellar tendinopathy. However, the technical bench is boosted by the availability of Ebenezer Adukwaw, who has been in clinical form.
Ben Stanley Omondi could return to action after being sidelined with injury since the match against Shabana.
KCB will be without defender Gideon Were, who was ruled out for the season following ACL surgery.
Amatton Samunya is likely to be tasked with leading the backline alongside Clyde Senaji.
Ahead of the clash, Gor Mahia Assistant Coach Kobi Mensah emphasized respect for the opposition;
“KCB is a very stubborn team, especially when playing away from home. We have watched their recent games, they are compact and disciplined. We have a plan to break them down, but we must play above ourselves and remain patient to get the result we need.”
On his part, KCB’s assistant coach Paul Ogai has focused on clinical finishing.
“We are creating chances, as seen in our last few games, but the conversion rate must improve. Against a team like Gor Mahia, you don’t get five or six chances. You get one or two, and you must be clinical. We are going to Nyayo to fight for all three points then defend with our lives.”
In the first leg of the 2025/26 season, Gor Mahia secured a 3-0 win at Dandora Stadium.
Recent Form:
- Gor Mahia: W-W-W-W-W (15 points from last 15)
- KCB: D-L-W-L-W (7 points from last 15)
Victory for Gor Mahia will ensure they remain at the top regardless of other results, opening a seven point gap.
A win for KCB could see them leapfrog Police FC into the top six.
