Arsenal vs Wolves prediction

The bottom side in the English Premier League goes up against the leaders in a Wednesday night clash at the Molineux.

Wolves have only managed a poor nine points from their opening 26 matches, winning just once all season. They face a leading Arsenal side on 57 points, four more than second place Manchester City.

Wolves have lost all of their last nine league matches against Arsenal, since beating them 2-1 at the Molineux in 2021. They however come into the game unbeaten in their last two games in all competitions.

The hosts need a miracle to become the first bottom club to beat the league leaders since 2011. They are coming off a 1-0 victory against Grimbsy in the FA Cup, following up a barren draw against Nottingham Forest in the league.

Arsenal, unbeaten in their last six matches, routed Wigan 4-1 in the FA Cup. Mikel Arteta’s side blew the chance to go six points clear at the summit after being held to a 1-1 draw at Brentford.

The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 11 PL matches and remain favorites to win their first title since 2004. Getting all three points here will undoubtedly have a heavy impact in the title race.

Can Wolves pull off one of the upsets of the season and get something from this game? We have a look at all key details of the clash as well as offer our predicted outcome.

The hosts are still without Andre Gomes who is out injured but Tolu Arokodare has been impressive in recent weeks and will start here. He has had three goal contributions in his last six appearances.

Mateus Mane has been electric enough to draw interest from top clubs, he will start in midfield alongside Joao Gomes and Hugo Bueno.

Jose Sa will return in between the sticks after being rested in the FA Cup game, with the rest of the side unchanged.

Wolves vs Arsenal prediction

Despite Wolves being unbeaten in their last two games, getting a win here against the league leaders seems rather unlikely. The visitors are tipped to come away with all three points here.

Goals have also been rare for the hosts, going up against the best defense in the league – a clean sheet is also high on Arsenal’s cards.
