Tusker FC vs AFC Leopards preview
The visitors, Ingwe, will arrive for this match buoyed by a positive result in midweek, having bounced back to winning ways on Wednesday with a 2-0 victory over SportPesa League newcomers Nairobi United.
This response followed a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kakamega Homeboyz just prior.
Nairobi United scored an own goal before Kelly Madada doubled the advantage and sealed the win, which propelled AFC Leopards back to the top of the SportPesa League standings after being temporarily overtaken by Gor Mahia.

The Fred Ambani-led side will also aim to maintain their impressive away form, enjoying a five-match unbeaten run.
Across their eight fixtures on the road this season, they have suffered only one defeat, securing four victories and three draws to collect 15 points.
Meanwhile, for the 12-time SportPesa League champions, the Brewers, this marks their first fixture of 2026.
Following a three-week break, they will be aiming to pick up where they left off in 2025.
Before the festive hiatus, Charles Okere’s squad had returned to winning ways with a slender 1-0 victory over APS Bomet, thanks to a late strike from Dennis Oguta.
Tusker vs AFC Leopards Team News

Speaking ahead of the match, Coach Okere noted that this will be his team’s first outing of the year after a lengthy break, which will serve as a test.
However, he emphasized that despite AFC Leopards’ strong form, his side is prepared.
For us, it’s all about psychology. We had good momentum last year, and this is a new chapter. We have to evaluate the players in all departments, including physical readiness. I believe we’ve prepared well and are ready,” Okere told the club media.
“FC Leopards have played two matches this year- they’ve won one and lost one. For us, it’s about gauging our own preparedness. They are in good form and top of the table, so it’s down to how ready we are. Tusker is a big team. We respect AFC Leopards; they have quality players and a strong technical bench, but we also possess everything needed to match them.”

Meanwhile, Coach Ambani expressed some concern over his side’s attacking efficiency despite their win against Nairobi United.
It is worrying me a bit because we are creating numerous chances, but converting them has been an issue. We will keep working on that until we get it right.
Every day is a learning process. We’ll review our mistakes in training and focus on certain aspects of our attacking third how to be more composed, clinical, and ultimately score goals,” Ambani stated.

The remaining two encounters ended in goalless draws, including the second leg of the previous campaign.
