The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has revealed the official date and venue for the first leg of the 25/26 Mashemeji Derby pitting record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia against their arch-rivals AFC Leopards.
The game, which was initially scheduled for 30 November 2025 at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, will now be played a day early on 29 November with the venue switched to Nyayo National Stadium, SportPesa Blog can confirm.
“Gor Mahia will host AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium with kick off at 3PM,” SportPesa Blog confirmed.

Why has the date and venue for Mashemeji Derby changed?
The change in date and venue comes from the fact that Nairobi United is set to use the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani for their 25/26 CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage clash against Democratic Republic of Congo outfit AS Maniema Union.
Naibois, who are making their debut in the Group Stages of the Confederation Cup, will be hosting their first home match where they will be hoping to record some positive results after succumbing to a 3-0 defeat against Morocco’s Wydad AC in their matchday 1 fixture.

Gor Mahia head into the clash riding high on confidence as they currently top the SportPesa League standings on 19 points and are unbeaten in their last seven games (W6 D1).
The record Kenyan champions are also fresh from bagging the newly introduced SportPesa League monthly awards where Charles Akonnor and Shariff Musa clinched the Coach of the Month and Player of the Month award respectively.
K’Ogalo have also not lost in the last four Mashemeji Derby meetings (2W 2D).
On their part, Ingwe are on a three-match winless streak (2D 1L) and will be chasing a first win since May 2023.
