Margaret Kunihira powers Police Bullets to the top of the FKF Women's Premier League Table with first Hattrick of the season.

Ugandan import Margaret Kunihira scored the first hat-trick of the 25/2026 FKF Women’s Premier League season, leading Kenya Police Bullets to their third straight victory in the 6-0 home win against debutants Gideon Starlets and back to the summit of the women’s top-tier league.

Kunihira scored the first goal of the day, and her first in the Kenyan league, inside 14 minutes when she carried the ball from the halfway line and slotted it home.

Another Ugandan import, Zaina Namuleme, doubled the scores two minutes later before Lorna Nyarinda’s strike ensured the defending champions went into the break with a three-goal advantage.

Kunihira then scored her second of the day in the sixty-third minute before completing her hat-trick in the seventy-fourth minute.

The other goal was scored by Puren Alukwe, who now makes it goals in consecutive matches.

The win marks three consecutive victories for Bullets’ new coach, David Bujego, who also recorded clean sheets in two straight matches.

Elsewhere in Karen, at the Marist International University, Kibera Soccer played to a goalless draw against Trinity Starlets. Kibera, now under George Bob Okallo, are yet to get their first win of the season, having drawn both matches at home with a 0-0 scoreline and lost to Vihiga Queens away in Gameweek Two.

In another match played on Saturday, Zetech Sparks were handed their first home defeat of the season, falling to Ulinzi Starlets 1-0 at the Zetech University grounds in Mangu.

Litron Kimuli scored the all-important goal for the soldiers, who have now extended their unbeaten run to 23 matches. This was coach Collins Oduor’s second win of the season, and Ulinzi now has seven points.

Kayole Starlets rounded off Day One action of Gameweek Three with a comfortable 2-0 victory at home in the match played at Kasarani Annex.

Cynthia Shilwatso and Linda Kihara combined once again to give the Premier League returnees back-to-back wins after the Gameweek One setback.

Shilwatso rose to the top scorers’ chart, scoring her third consecutive goal in as many matches to make it four goals for the season.

Action continues on Sunday with one match lined up. Record champions Vihiga Queens will be hosted at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu by Kisped Queens, with kickoff slated for 3 PM.

Bungoma Queens’ Gameweek Three match against Soccer Assassins has been postponed to Wednesday, November 5, as Bungoma, sponsored by the Bungoma National Polytechnic, are taking part in the ongoing Kenya Association of Technical Training Institutions (KATTI) national games in Mombasa.
