A blockbuster Saturday, November 1, awaits as four teams take center stage to battle for a place in the main Cup finals of the Floodlit 2025 tournament at the Impala Grounds.
The defending champions, Menengai Oilers, will be looking to replicate their 2024 success as they face a resilient Kenyatta University Blak Blad in the headline semifinal, with kick-off set for 5:40 PM EAT.

The Gibson Weru-led squad secured their place in the last four by narrowly edging out the giants KCB Rugby 16-13 in a thrilling main Cup quarterfinal last Saturday.
In a match that saw a tight contest from both sides, the Oilers clinched victory with a late penalty. Abutwalib Wesong a made no mistake, slotting the ball between the posts to ensure his team’s advancement.

Meanwhile, Blak Blad are making their second consecutive semifinal appearance.
They earned their spot by overpowering Kenya Harlequins 35-13 in another exhilarating quarterfinal last weekend, setting up a repeat of their 2024 semifinal clash with the Oilers.
Last season, the Oilers emerged victorious with a 22-6 win. This time, Blak Blad will be aiming for revenge and a place in the finals, while the Oilers pursue their second-ever title.
In the day’s other semifinal, Nondescript RFC will take on the hosts, Impala RFC, at the same venue, with kick-off scheduled for 7:20 PM EAT.
Impala, last year’s finalists, secured their semifinal berth by dispatching Mwamba RFC by a narrow 24-21 margin in a clash that was forced into extra time.
Nondies, meanwhile, managed to edge out the university side Strathmore Leos 27-22 to book a thrilling semifinal date with Impala.
