- Bandari FC will host Murang’a SEAL in Sunday’s standalone SportPesa League 2025/26 fixture.
- The match is set to kick off at 3:00 PM at Mbaraki Sports Club.
- Bandari are chasing their first win of the season, while SEAL are aiming for back-to-back victories.
The Sportpesa League 2025/26 matchweek four will continue today, Saturday October 4, with one standalone fixture that sees Murang’a SEAL travel to Mombasa to face hosts Bandari FC at the Mbaraki Sports Club from 3.00 PM.
It will be a fresh start for the hosts who will now be under their interim coach John Baraza who was appointed some nights ago after the club parted ways with coach Ken Odhiambo who had just led the team to two opening matches of the league without a win.

Bandari began their campaign with a goalless draw against Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Annex, only to suffer a surprising 1-0 defeat at home to Shabana FC last Sunday.
That result ultimately brought Odhiambo’s tenure to an end – a year after he first took charge.

With Baraza now at the helm, the Dockers will be eager to breathe new life into their season and make an early turnaround.
However, they face an opponent who comes into this match brimming with confidence after they won their last match where they faced APS Bomet and managed to beat them 0-2 at the Gusii Stadium last weekend.

Thanks to Levis Wanjala’s second strike that ensured the Don Otieno charges picked three points on the road after the first goal came from an own goal by the law enforcers.
Therefore, SEAL will be seeking back-to-back victories to maintain their good start despite them suffering a crushing narrow 1-0 defeat to Ulinzi Stars in their opener.
Bandari FC aiming to return to winning form against Murang’a SEAL

Speaking ahead of the match, Baraza stated that they are ready for the match and they are going for nothing short of a win.
“The team is very ready for the match tomorrow and we have nothing less than promising our fans that we will make sure we do our best and get the win against SEAL,” he said in a press conference on Friday.

The team captain, Andrew Juma, echoed the same sentiments stating that “we are ready and we are determined to ensure we get back to winning form and bring joy to our loyal fans and we promise we won’t disappoint them.”
These two teams have met four times in the top tier since SEAL got their promotion in 2023 and of the four outings, Bandari has had the upper hand winning three of them while one went on a goalless draw.
