Meanwhile, KCB continued their stellar form in the circuit, launching their campaign with an emphatic 29-14 victory against Mwamba RFC.

In Group B, Kabras Sugar still reeling from a disappointing outing at the Christie 7s, stumbled once again, narrowly losing 15-14 to the in-form Strathmore Leos, who currently sit second overall in the standings.

The other Group B encounter featured Impala RFC and newly promoted Kabete Stallions, fresh from Division Two.

The tightly contested clash ended in a 19-19 stalemate, highlighting the Stallions’ competitive return to top-tier action.

Group C saw Menengai Oilers, runners-up at the Christie 7s stage a strong comeback to defeat their regional rivals, Nakuru RFC, 21-12.
