Mombasa RFC will be aiming for their first-ever victory in the 2025 SportPesa 7s series when they face Stallions who are also hunting for their maiden win of the day in a bid to reach the 9th place quarterfinals.
In Pool B, defending champions Strathmore Leos and Menengai Oilers maintained their authority by securing second consecutive victories.
The Oilers, building on a 24-5 opening win, dominated Falcons 31-5.
Meanwhile, Leos, under the guidance of Willis Ojal, made a bold statement in their title defense by dismantling Zetech Oaks 38-0.
With both teams already qualified for the quarterfinals, Leos and Oilers will now face off in a highly anticipated clash to determine the top team in Pool B.

This will be a rematch of their group-stage encounter in Mombasa’s opening leg, where Leos prevailed 14-5.
Falcons and Oaks, both winless so far, will battle it out for their first victory in the final round of group fixtures.
In Pool C, Nondies struggled to overcome the resilient Monks, who had nearly held KCB in their opening game.
Despite a 10-10 tie at halftime, Monks surged ahead in the second half to lead 15-10. Nondies rallied to regain the lead at 22-15, but Victor Omupere spoiled their celebrations by slicing through the defense to score under the posts and level the match at the death 22-22.
Nondies now face a daunting challenge in their final group match against KCB, who dismantled them 40-0 during the Mombasa leg.
They will need a strong performance and hope Monks don’t defeat Kisumu RFC, who are also eyeing their first win of the day and the entire circuit.
Meanwhile KCB maintained their flawless record in the Sportpesa 7s series, securing their second win of the day after beating Kisumu RFC 48-0 the largest margin of the day, further cementing their status as title contenders.
After a disappointing outing in the first leg in Mombasa wher they lsot all their matches, Lavi Asego’s charges, Mwamba RFC also known as Kulabu, made a bold statement in the second leg by securing their second win with a hard-fought 17-15 victory over powerhouse Kabras Sugar.
Meanwhile, Kabras, who managed a 24-5 win over Impala in their opening match, must now beat MMUST in their final pool game to stay in contention.
