Kenyan runners will be the main attraction in the Bogota Half Marathon 2025 that is scheduled to go down on Sunday, July 27.
Spearheaded by the experienced duo of Philemon Kiplimo and Benson Kipruto, the Kenyan contingent arrives in Bogota Half Marathon 2025 with a crystal clear mission: to shine.
Kipruto, who trains in Kapsabet, Nandi County with the likes of the reigning London Marathon champion Sabastian Sawe and multiple Boston Marathon winner Evans Chebet, is one of the favorites to win the coveted Bogota Half Marathon 2025 title.

The 34-year-old enters the race with a personal best of 1:00.06. Although his half marathon lifetime best is not that fast, Kipruto has what it takes to overcome the deep field assembled by the organizers of the event.
Some of the stars who are expected to give Kipruto a run for his money at the Bogota Half Marathon 2025 are his compatriots Philemon Kiplimo, and Charles Matata.
Matata, a late inclusion for the World Athletics recognized road race, has a personal best of 1:00.05 while Kiplimo’s stand at 58:11.
Besides Kiplimo and Matata, some of the other brilliant runners who will be in the mix on Sunday are Mao Ako (Tanzania), William Amponsah (Ghana), Hector Garibay (Bolivia), and Mohamed El Ghazouany (Morocco).
Benson Kipruto speaks ahead of Bogota Half Marathon 2025
Kipruto told reporters during the Bogota Half Marathon press conference that his aim is to run a fast race.
“I think I can run 1:02 in Bogota, if the weather conditions allow it. I’ll run a marathon after this race, and it will be a great test here, because I’ve prepared well,” he commented.

Meanwhile, a strong Kenyan squad will also feature in the Bogota Half Marathon 2025 women’s elite category.
Some of the popular runners from the East African who have been confirmed for the event are Angela Tanui, and Susy Chemaimak.
The duo wil battle it out for the Bogota Half Marathon 2025 crown great runners such as Selah Busienei (Kenya), Aynalem Desta (Ethiopia), Stella Radford (Australia)
