Edmund Serem expects stiff competition at Tokyo World Athletics Championships 2025

Speaking shortly after winning the 3000m Steeplechase race at the trials that were held at the Ulinzi Complex, Serem stated that he needs to prepare himself well in order to stand a chance of finishing inside the top three positions.

“It will be different competing in the world championships. In the U-20 people were not that much stronger compared to this level. In the world championships, we are going to meet with Olympic champions, world champions, and world record holder Lamecha Girma.

So, it will be a different category and for that I must be strong both mentally and also in training,” he told SportPesa Blog.
