Athletics Kenya (AK) has released the complete list of athletes invited for the eagerly awaited Tokyo World Athletics Championships 2025 trials.
From world record holders Beatrice Chebet and Faith Kipyegon to fast-rising runners such as Phanuel Kipkosgei Koech, the huge list is made of many gifted runners.
According to the AK, the top two runners will bag the ticket to the Tokyo World Athletics Championships provided they meet the required standards.

“The first two athletes to cross the finish line will automatically be selected provided they qualify as per the World Athletics entry standards.
Athletes who wish to double in the trials will be allowed to do so, however, the decision to double at the world championships will be a preserve of the selection panel (Defending champions are not affected by this criteria),” read part of the statement from the AK.
AK added that athletes who will meet the qualification standards before the qualifying window closes, will be considered if the discipline quota is not filled.
