Speaking after the final whistle, Muyoti praised his squad for executing their game plan perfectly and dominating proceedings as envisioned.

First, I thank God for the win. If it were not for Him, it would have been even tougher. The match was very good. I think my boys played according to the instructions up to the end. From the beginning, I think we dominated the match. We got the first goal, and Gor Mahia managed to get back into the game.”

But in the second half, we came back renewed and strategized. We came with good energy, we managed to add the second goal, and in defending, we also did well.”

Muyoti credited the team’s success this season to a solid system and overwhelming support from all corners of the club.

This is an amazing feeling winning this cup. It is not an easy thing. I came into the team and got support from the players, the fans, and the management. It has been really overwhelming, and that performance has been reflected in the team and the unity of the boys.”

Gor Mahia vs Nairobi United

Muyoti expresses confidence in Nairobi United readiness for CAF Confederation Cup

Looking ahead to the CAF Confederation Cup 2025/26, Muyoti expressed optimism, highlighting the team’s readiness after eliminating some of Kenya’s football heavyweights, including Tusker FC, KCB, Kakamega Homeboyz, Mara Sugar, and most recently, Gor Mahia.

The good thing is that the players wanted this, and playing Continental football was always in their minds. In terms of mental readiness, they are more than ready,” Muyoti told Telecomasia.net.

When we did our mid-season recruitment, we did with the Premier League in mind and brought players who are experienced in the league and these are the same ones who can compete Continentally.

If you look at our run to the final and the Cup, we have beaten big Premier League teams and that shows we are of a good level. We are going in to the Confederation Cup to compete.”
