From Ryan Ogam’s electric start for Tusker to Moses Shumah’s strong finish, the fight for the coveted gong will go down to the wire.
As of May 19, Shumah, who has been one of the consistent strikers this season, sat at the top of the FKF Premier League top scorers chart with 17 goals.

The interesting thing about the Kakamega Homeboyz player is the fact that only one of those goals came courtesy of a penalty.
Shumah’s eye-catching performances, including a compelling hat-trick against Kakamega Homeboyz arch-rivals AFC Leopards a few months ago – have made him a household name in Kenya.
Besides AFC Leopards, Shumah has also scored against the likes of the FKF Premier League defending champions Gor Mahia, KCB FC, and Kariobangi Sharks.
His latest goal came against Kariobangi Sharks where he tapped the ball into the net from close range after receiving a pin-point cross from Henry Omollo. The goal helped Homeboyz to beat the Nairobi based side 2-0 and secure the crucial three points.
Hot on Shumah’s heels in the competitive FKF Premier League top scorer race is the magnificent FC Talanta forward Emmanuel Osoro.
Osoro’s prowess in front of goal has enabled him to find the net 16 times since the start of the season.
His brilliance was evident in the game against Tusker on Wednesday, May 14 where he reacted quickly and slotted the ball into the net after a mistake from one of the defenders.
The other player who is still in the race for the FKF Premier League top scorer race with two games remaining to the end of the season is Tusker FC star boy Ryan Ogam.
Ogam, who has missed a lot of games due to an injury, has scored an impressive 15 goals for the Brewers.
