According to Nanjala, she had the potential to score even more goals but her slow start made it difficult.

“My season has not been good because I didn’t start it well. But, I thank God I have managed to be the top scorer of the Moroccan League at the end,” she told SportPesa Blog in an exclusive interview.

When asked whether she will still play in Morocco next season or if her supporters should expect a transfer move, Nanjala stated that with God anything is possible.

Nanjala also had a piece of advice for young Kenyan girls with dreams of playing professional football outside the country.

“Let them keep pushing. They should not give up and their right time will definitely come,” commented the versatile forward.

Nanjala to bloster Harambee Starlets at WAFCON qualifiers

The 23-year-old is expected to play an instrumental role in Harambee Starlets qualification for the 2026 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament that is scheduled to be held in Morocco.

Kenya, who overcame Tunisia 1-0 early this year, will lock horns with the Gambia in the final round of the qualifiers in October.

Nanjala will fight for the starting position in the Harambee Starlets squad with a number of other talented attackers including Janet Moraa Bundi and Jentrix Shikangwa.

Bundi, who plays in the Egyptian Women’s Premier League, has netted 27 goals to finish second in the top scorers race and in the process helped her side the National Bank of Egypt to secure the fifth position in standings with 44 points.

On the other hand, Shikangwa is currently scoring goals with ease in the Tanzanian Women’s Premier League where her side Simba Queens are on the verge of lifting the title.
