- The FC Talanta versus Tusker FC match will kick off at 1 pm on Wednesday at the Dandora Stadium.
- Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere has stated that they will do their best to win the match.
- A win for Tusker FC against Talanta will help them close the gap between themselves and Kenya Police FC at the top of the FKFPL standings.
The FC Talanta versus Tusker FC tie is one of the key Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) matches that will be played on Wednesday, April 14, 2025.
Tusker, who occupy the second position in the log at the moment with 55 points from 30 matches, will be aiming to beat Talanta and close the gap between them and league leaders Kenya Police FC.
A win for Tusker will draw them level on points with the Law Enforcers who will battle it out with Kakamega Homeboyz later in the day.
Charles Okere backs his charges to demolish FC Talanta
Speaking ahead of the clash that is planned to take place at the Dandora Stadium at 1 pm, Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere stated that everyone at the club is focused on collecting the maximum points.
“Another tough match against Talanta. No easy game at all. Talanta is a very strong, tactical team with experienced players and coaches.
So, we respect them as a team but at the end of the day we are eager to earn the three points tomorrow,” commented Okere.

Okere added that their victory against SportPesa-sponsored side Murang’a Seal a few days ago improved the morale of his players.
“Our win against Murang’a Seal in our last encounter was a great motivation for us. It is a great booster, especially that we had a clean sheet also plus the three points. So, the morale is high in the camp,” he explained.
Tusker hammered the Central region based club 2-0 in an entertaining game that was played at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Saturday, May 10.
Furthermore, the experienced tactician revealed that although some of his players picked knocks in their last match, they are waiting for medical reports to ensure that they are fit for the next match.
According to him, they need energy and power upfront in order for them to win their four remaining FKFPL fixtures.
Ogam returns to training
Okere welcomed Tusker’s top scorer Ryan Ogam back to the team after recovering from an injury, stating that everyone at the club is happy for him.
Although the 44-year-old did not disclose exactly when Ogam will feature in a FKFPL match, he indicated that the talented forward may play before the end of the season.

On the other hand, FC Talanta travel to Dandora Stadium with the hopes of continuing from where they left.
The club, which is ranked 13th in the standings with 32 points, has had enough preparation since beating KCB FC 1-0 in their most recent FKFPL game that took place on Friday, May 2.
Should Talanta overcome Tusker, they will increase their chances of avoiding relegation at the end of the season.
Kenya Police to square it out with Kakamega Homeboyz
Elsewhere, Kenya Police will lock horns with Kakamega Homeboyz as they target to cement their legacy at the top of the FKFPL.
The crucial tie will take place at the Mumias Sports Complex in Kakamega County from 2 pm.
Kenya Police FC, who narrowly overcome Bandari FC 1-0 in their latest tie, have no room for error as they are very close to clinching the FKFPL title.
A defeat or draw for the Etienne Ndayiragije-coached side in Mumias will be costly because it may allow the likes of Tusker and defending champions Gor Mahia to move a step closer to leapfrogging them.
