- AFC Leopards extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 3-1 victory over Mathare United on Wednesday, May 14, at the Dandora Stadium.
- Kayci Odhiambo, Christopher Koloti, and Ronald Sichenje were on target for Ingwe, while John Nyawir netted the consolation goal for Mathare.
- Murang’a SEAL clawed their way out of the relegation zone into the playoff spot with a crucial 2-0 win over Sofapaka at the SportPesa Arena.
AFC Leopards clinched their second consecutive win and sixth triumph of the season at home, deepening Mathare United’s struggles with a commanding 3-1 victory on Wednesday evening at the Dandora Stadium.
Failing to secure their 12th clean sheet of the campaign, the Leopards struck early when Kayci Odhiambo opened the scoring.
A deflected free-kick by Ronald Sichenje, following a misjudgment by Michael Wanyika, fell kindly to Odhiambo, who calmly slotted it home to give Ingwe the advantage.
Shortly after, Christopher Koloti doubled the lead with a sublime finish, capitalizing on a well-orchestrated build-up involving Brian Wanyama.
Fred Ambani’s instrumental play ensured the hosts went into the break firmly in control.

In the second half, after a long search for a goal, Ronald Sichenje found the net with a spectacular strike to make it 3-0, effectively sealing the win.
The players dedicated the goals to their late Secretary General, Mr. Gilbert Andugu, in a touching tribute.
John Kamau’s super-substitute, John Nyawir, clawed one back for Mathare in the dying minutes, but it proved insufficient to spark a comeback.
The Slum Boys endured their second straight defeat, intensifying pressure on their league survival despite sitting 11th with 37 points, 10 ahead of Nairobi City Stars and just nine above Bidco United, who languish second from bottom with 29 points and three matches remaining.
For AFC Leopards, now unbeaten in four games, the win keeps them in sixth place on 45 points.
However, a significant effort is still required in their remaining four fixtures to break into the top four.
They trail Kakamega Homeboyz (51 points) by six, Shabana (52) by seven, and third-placed Gor Mahia (53) by eight.

Murang’a SEAL boost survival hopes with crucial win
Murang’a SEAL clawed their way out of the relegation zone into the playoff spot after a vital 2-0 victory over Sofapaka at the SportPesa Arena.
Goals from Yusuf Ali and Harun Mwale secured the much-needed three points for Yusuf Chipo side, propelling them to 16th place with 32 points.
SEAL now sit five points above bottom-placed Nairobi City Stars (27 points) and three ahead of 17th-placed Bidco United (29 points).
With just three fixtures remaining, SEAL must aim for nothing less than wins to preserve their top-flight status.
They are level on points with Mara Sugar and trail Kariobangi Sharks and FC Talanta both on 33 points in 12th and 13th place, respectively.
Crucially, SEAL’s final matches include fixtures against Talanta and Mara Sugar, making those clashes decisive in determining their fate in the FKF Premier League next season.
