All eyes will be on the Kenya Lionesses this Friday as they take part in the third and final round of the 2025 World Rugby HSBC Challenger Sevens Series in Krakow, Poland.
The Lionesses will be hunting for their third consecutive title in the event that is set to go down at Henryk Reyman’s Municipal Stadium.

Lionesses, who produced eye-catching performances in the first and second round of the Challenger Series that were staged in Cape Town, South Africa, are the favorites to clinch the overall title.
The side that is coached by former Shujaa player Dennis Mwanja, occupies the first position in the Challenger Series standings at the moment with 40 points, six more than their closest rivals South Africa.
Therefore, should the Lionesses continue with their incredible run that has seen them hammer the likes of South Africa, Poland, Samoa, Belgium and Argentina, they will qualify for the HSBC Sevens Promotion/relegation playoffs as Challenger Series champions.

The HSBC SVNS relegation/promotion play-off will be held in Los Angeles, United States between May 3 and May 4.
Should Lionesses finish inside the top four positions in the promotion/relegation playoff, they will book a ticket to the HSBC Sevens Series for the first time in history.
Besides the Lionesses, who are expected to confirm their participation in the tournament, Shujaa will also feature after being relegated from the prestigious HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.

The Kenya national sevens rugby women’s team, Lionesses, will play their first match at the final leg of the Challenger Series against European representatives Belgium at 11:50 am EAT/ 9:50 am BST at the Henryk Reyman’s Municipal Stadium in Krakow, Poland.

The team, which has dominated the series since the start of the season, will then lock horns with Thailand in the second game at 3:20 pm EAT/ 1:20 pm BST before completing their Pool A fixtures at 6:28 pm EAT/4:20 pm BST against familiar opponents Colombia.
