- David PolePole made his debut by coming off the bench in a match against Shabana.
- He scored his first senior team goal against Nairobi United in the FKF Cup and his first top-tier goal against Posta Rangers.
- His ultimate goal this season is to win the title with the club.
After scoring two goals with the senior team, Tusker FC’s rising star David PolePole is determined to be among the top scorers this season and aims to secure his first career title with the club.
The 22-year-old PolePole was the standout performer when he made his first senior team start, leading Tusker to a 2-1 victory over Posta Rangers last week.
PolePole was both a scorer and the provider for the opening goal.
The club’s youth team assistant captain made his debut for the senior team when he came off the bench in the 1-1 draw against Shabana FC in Machakos last month.
Since then, he has proven his potential, having already found the back of the net twice, including his first senior team goal against Nairobi United in the FKF Cup.
Reflecting on his first-ever career goal in the Premier League and his national team aspirations, the dynamic forward expressed his joy, acknowledging that such opportunities are rare.
He took a moment to thank head coach Okere for giving him the chance.
“The feeling is great because opportunities like this don’t come easily,” PolePole said.
“I truly appreciate the head coach for believing in me. Stepping into that position was no simple task, and I just want to thank God. It’s one of the best feelings any player could experience.” He shared his thoughts with Sportpesa Blog after the Posta Rangers match.
David PolePole ambition: more goals and a title
PolePole also expressed his ambition to score more goals and help the club achieve better results by the end of the season.
“As a team, we’ll continue to work hard, and by doing so, I believe everything will fall into place,” he said.
“I’m also a goal scorer, and I expect to find the net more often to help my team as much as possible. Together, we can achieve our goals at the end of the season.”
PolePole’s mission this season is to be among the top scorers in the Premier League, or even while playing with the youth team.

Despite joining the Premier League in the second half of the season, he believes he can still finish among the league’s top scorers, with 10 matches remaining.
“Before the season even started, I set my target. I’m still part of the youth team, and my goal was to be the top scorer this season. The previous two seasons weren’t ideal for me, so I prayed for this season to be different.
Whether in Division Two or the Premier League, I’m determined to be among the top scorers. Even though I joined the top tier in the second leg, I’m someone who thrives on challenges. People should expect more from me,” he explained.
David PolePole Ultimate goal with Tusker FC
PolePole reiterated that his ultimate goal is to win the league title with Tusker FC this season, describing it as the pinnacle of his career.
“My vision right now is to win the title with Tusker FC,” he concluded. “It’s a feeling I’ve only heard about; I’ve never achieved something like that before, so it would be the best thing to ever happen in my life.”
