In addition, Omanyala will also come up with a museum to honor Kenyan legends in various sectors of the community including sportspersons and musicians.

“The Omanyala Foundation is super proud to support Team Environment Kenya (TEK) to make a difference. And guess what? The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has given Ferdinand Omanyala five acres at Ngong Hills to create something amazing!
He is planning a biodiverse park with indigenous and fruit trees, a place to relax, and a ‘living Museum’ to honor Kenyan heroes. Imagine enjoying fresh fruit juice while learning about their stories! This is the future we envision. It’s not just about planting trees, it’s about growing a legacy for everyone,” the statement read in part.
Omanyala is expected to dig a borehole and fence the piece of land in the near future to kick off the project. The water from the borehole will not only be used to water trees put also be used by the community

Speaking during a tour of the piece of land that is located a few kilometers from the capital city Nairobi, TEK director Matthew Ochanda urged Kenyans to support the noble initiative.
“Restoring Ngong Hills is not just about planting trees, it’s about creating a long-term ecosystem that benefits both people and nature.
To achieve this, we need support from all corners: philanthropists, corporate sponsors, and individuals who believe in environmental conservation,” he explained.
Omanyala, who recently featured in one of the Athletics Kenya (AK) weekend track and field meets, has not yet officially started his 2025 athletics season.

The former rugby player hinted at the meet that took place in Thika a few days ago that he will announce his plans in the coming weeks.
He also refuted claims that he had ruled himself out of competing in the upcoming 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championships that is scheduled to take place in Nanjing, China between March 21 and March 23.
“I haven’t said I am not taking part in the Indoors. I said the tour. So, the World Indoor is coming in three weeks. We are still weighing options,” offered Omanyala.
