Moses Shumah delivered yet another outstanding performance, bagging a brace to guide Kakamega Homeboyz to a 3-1 win over Murang’a SEAL at the Mumias Sports Complex on Wednesday, February 19 in the FKFPL mid-week fixture.
The victory marked their 12th consecutive unbeaten match, further solidifying Homeboyz’s impressive run recently.
Lucas Maina’s lone strike for SEAL in the dying minutes of the first half briefly threatened to revive John Njogu’s side.
However, super substitute Oliver Majak made sure to seal the win for Homeboyz with a third goal, securing their eighth victory of the season.
The win pushed Homeboyz into sixth place on the table with 33 points.

Meanwhile, SEAL’s struggles deepened as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat, extending their winless run to seven matches.
They remain in 13th place with 23 points, and John Njogu’s position as interim coach is now insecurely hanging by a thread.
Just three minutes into the match, Moses Shumah nearly found the back of the net, but Hillary Omondi failed to convert a pass, sending the ball wide.
Homeboyz continued their search for an opening goal, and in the 17th minute, Shumah broke the deadlock with his 12th goal of the season.
He followed up his earlier strike with another in the 38th minute, scoring a well-executed volley to give Homeboyz a commanding 2-0 lead.
Before the break, Murang’a SEAL responded by pulling one back in the 45th minute, with Lucas Maina finding the net to reduce the deficit.
The Homeboyz went into halftime with a 2-1 advantage.

The second half lacked the same intensity as the first. Both teams made substitutions in the 56th minute, with John Njogu bringing on Michael Pala for captain Dennis Odhiambo, while Ken Odhiambo freshened up his squad by replacing Hillary Otieno with Oliver Majak.
In the 65th minute, SEAL’s debutant, Dolphine Owino, made a crucial save, deflecting a powerful shot from Glen Otieno for a corner.
Owino came to his team’s rescue once again when he stopped Shumah from completing a hat-trick, managing to keep his net intact.
In the 80th minute, Odhiambo’s substitution paid off. Oliver Majak, after a superb delivery from Faruk Musis, extended Homeboyz’s lead and effectively sealed the victory with a calm finish.
Despite Njogu’s tactical changes, SEAL failed to find another goal and were unable to reduce the deficit. The final whistle confirmed a 3-1 triumph for Homeboyz, who claimed all three points.
At the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a, KCB returned to winning ways, narrowly defeating Bandari FC 1-0.
Joshua Nyatini’s early goal in the 7th minute ensured the bankers secured all three points and bounced back from a 2-0 loss to Sofapaka last weekend.
Bandari, on the other hand, suffered their second consecutive defeat.
