- The win over Bandari FC was enough to ensure the law enforcers climb to the top of the FKFPL table.
Kenya Police FC midfielder Marvin Nabwire has put the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clubs on notice after helping his side climb to the top of the standings.
Nabwire, who has had a stint with AFC Leopards in the past, produced a man of the match performance in Kenya Police FC’s 3-0 victory over Bandari FC on Wednesday.
The talented player scored a brilliant goal early in the first half of the fixture that was staged at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County before setting up Clinton Kinanga.
The huge win increased Kenya Police FC’s tally to 33 points and helped them jump to the top of the FKFPL log, overtaking Tusker FC in the process thanks to their better goal difference.

Speaking during an interview with SportPesa Blog, Nabwire forewarned their opponents, stating that the law enforcers will teach them a lesson.
“Any team that has not played us yet and with the start of the second leg, they should know that they won’t take any point from us,” he offered.
Etienne Ndayiragije’s impact
Nabwire also hailed Burundian head coach Etienne Ndayiragije for the excellent job that he has done since he took charge of Kenya Police FC in November last year.
“His impact has been a powerful one. As you can see we have changed our playing style and I think that playing style that we have adopted will help us to score many goals because it is an attacking system.
So, when you see the outcome of our recent games, we have been winning with a huge goal difference. So I can say his system is an effective one,” explained the player who hails from Western Kenya.

Under the tutelage of Ndayiragije, Kenya Police FC are yet to suffer a defeat. The team has picked up four wins in their latest five matches, a run that has put them in a good position of winning the coveted title at the end of the season.
Nabwire confident ahead of Mara Sugar tie
Nabwire ended by expressing confidence that they will defeat Mara Sugar in their next game that is scheduled to be played on Monday, January 27 at the Awendo Green Stadium.
According to him, although Mara Sugar gave them a hard time in the first-leg fixture which ended 1-0 in their favor, this time round they are well prepared.
“It will be a difficult match because when we played with them in Machakos, they dominated a lot and also our playing style is similar to theirs. It will be a hard game but we will win.
Since the appointment of the coach we haven’t lost a match, so I can say we would like to win this title and we will do that. We don’t fear any team,” ended Nabwire.
