After the start of the 24/25 Kenya Cup season was postponed to make way for the Elgon Cup 2024 which took place on 9 and 16 November, the men’s 15s tournament is now set to kick off this Saturday, November 23 with the season promising exciting matches that will run till 12 April 2025.
Defending champions Kabras Sugar will begin their title defense against newly promoted Impala RFC.
After spending two seasons in the Championship, Impala secured their return with a narrow comeback win against Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), winning 12-11 in the Championship finals at Kakamega Showground.
KCB RFC, the Kenya Cup runners-up, will face KRU Championship winners South Coast Pirates who will be making their debut in the topflight.

Kenya Harlequin will kick off the season against Mwamba RFC, while an exciting match awaits between Kenyatta University’s Blakblad and Nakuru RFC.
Nondescripts, the most successful Kenya Cup champions, will play against Strathmore Leos while Menengai Oilers lock horns against Kisumu RFC.
Notable matches to watch include Kenya Harlequin FC vs. K.U. Blak Blad on match day 3 (7th November) and Kenya Harlequin FC facing their neighbors Impala RFC on match day 4 (11th December).

Match day 11 features a highly anticipated rivalry between Kabras Sugar and KCB Rugby (8th March).
Match day 12 will see the top six teams compete in the playoffs on 15th March 2025 as the semis take place on 22nd March, leading to the finals on 5th April 2025.
Kabras RFC are the 2023/24 Kenya Cup defending champions after defeating KCB Rugby 29-5 in the final, played at Kakamega Showground.
