Multiple Tanzanian Premier League winners Young Africans Sports Club have parted ways with head coach Miguel Gamondi.
The club, popularly known as Yanga, announced the unexpected decision on Friday morning.
According to the communique signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Senegalese tactician Moussa Ndaw was also shown the door.
“The Young Africans Sports Club management would like to inform the public that it has terminated its contract with the first team head coach Angel Miguel Gamondi. In addition, the management thanked Gamondi and Ndaw for their immense contribution to the club.
Gamondi joined the Dar es Salaam-based side in 2023 and helped them lift the coveted league title in his first season.
However, he struggled to get results in recent matches, something which forced the Yanga management to end their relationship with him.
Gamondi, who hails from Argentina, failed to collect a point in his two latest league fixtures, suffering a 1-0 defeat in the hands of Azam FC before going down 3-1 at home to Tabora United.

However, the club’s management has assured followers that it will unveil a new manager in the coming weeks.
“The Young Africans Sports Club would also like to thank these coaches for their contributions to our club and wish them all the best in their new endeavors.
The process of looking for new first team coaches has already started and is expected to end in the near future,” the statement ended.
