Eleventh-placed Manchester United have another stern test awaiting them at Old Trafford when they host a confident Brighton and Hove Albion in the English Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Erik ten Hag coached side are already six points behind table-topping Manchester City having recorded only two wins in their opening four games (2W 2L) and face a Brighton side who completed the league double over them last season.

The Red Devils went into the international break with defeat following their 3-1 loss against rivals Arsenal and came out of the two-week break with more off-field drama to deal with.

United however head into the clash backed by the fact that they have not lost any of the 31 clashes they have played at home since September 2022 (W27 D4), their unblemished record stretching all the way back to when Brighton beat them 2-1 in ten Hag’s first game at the club.

On the other hand, the Seagulls are sitting in sixth place, three points ahead of Manchester United, after picking three games from their opening four matches and will be targeting a fourth win of the season before they play their maiden European game in the UEFA Europa League.
