Gor Mahia are out to extend their lead at the top of the Kenya Premier League table when they play Mathare United on Wednesday.

This Saturday the Kenya Premier League has a host of matches lined up and they are all available for betting on the SportPesa platform.

SportPesa just spiced up your gaming experience by reintroducing matches from Kenya’s top flight for you to bet on.

There are five games lined up this Saturday and record Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia have the chance to go top of the table as they host Nairobi City Stars.

The game will be played at the Kasarani Stadium and will kick off at 3pm!

Gor are currently in 2nd place with 24 points, level with surprise league leaders Nzoia Sugar FC, and are coming off a barren draw against eternal rivals AFC Leopards.

Under the tutelage of the charismatic coach Jonathan McKinstry, Gor have only lost one of their last 11 games and are confident of a victory here.

Forward Benson Omala is the current KPL top scorer, bagging 11 goals in 11 games, and he is full of confidence and primed to get a goal here on Saturday.

City Stars on the other hand are coming off a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bandari FC and are languishing in 15th place with 11 points.

They have only ever beaten Gor Mahia once before, a 2-0 victory in December 2021, making this a tough ask for the visiting team.

There are no fresh injury concerns for the home team and they are tipped as favorites to win this game and bag all 3 points as by the editor’s personal opinion.

KCB will also be in action at 3pm on Saturday as they host bottom of the table Mathare United.

The bankers are desperate to bounce back to winning ways after they played out to their third successive draw, a 1-1 stalemate against struggling Wazito.

Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno’s charges are one of the three teams with 24 points and are in fourth place on the KPL log.

Mathare have still only won one game all season and have a dismal 4 points after 10 games.

With the poor run of form they are on, they are not expected to cause KCB any sort of problems and yet another defeat seems to be loading for the Slum Boys.

Third-place Tusker are the other team with 24 points as the race for the title continues to heat up and they too need a win after that humiliating 3-0 defeat to Police FC.

The brewers are without a win in their last two games and relinquished their place at the top of the table, though they can bounce back against Kariobangi Sharks.

Last season, either side won their match against each other and this comes with the potential of this being a cracker of a fixture.

Sharks are unbeaten in four games and are currently sitting in 9th place with 15 points as they seek to make it five games without defeat.

Both teams are tipped to score in this game but there is a high chance that Robert Matano’s charges will bag all 3 points.
