Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has named a 24-man squad for Kenya’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying double-header against South Africa.
Kenya will first travel to face Bafana Bafana at the Orlando Stadium on November 13 before hosting the return fixture at the Nyayo National Stadium on November 17.
The squad comprises three goalkeepers, nine defenders, four midfielders and eight forwards, with McCarthy blending local and foreign-based talent.

The squad is headlined by the return of captain Michael Olunga, who has shaken off a serious pelvic injury that required surgery in Paris and kept him sidelined for approximately five months.
He is joined by left-back Eric Marcelo Ouma, who returns after recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon sustained in August 2025 while training with Polish outfit Raków Częstochowa.
Another notable inclusion is defender Zak Vyner, who earns a return to the national team setup after receiving his first call-up in May 2024 under former head coach Engin Firat for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Vyner joined the Harambee Stars camp in Malawi ahead of the qualifiers but was unable to feature as his Kenyan passport and nationality change documentation had not been finalised in time.

Despite already securing automatic qualification for the 2027 AFCON finals as co-hosts, Harambee Stars have endured a difficult start to their Group D campaign, collecting just one point from their opening two matches.
Kenya opened with a 1-1 draw against Eritrea at Nyayo National Stadium before suffering a 1-0 defeat to Guinea in Conakry.
McCarthy’s charges will now be looking to register their first victory of the campaign when they take on South Africa in the November double-header.
