Andrew Amonde’s charges sit at the summit on 57 points across the opening three legs, opening up a six-point cushion over their nearest rivals Kabras as the caravan prepares to march to the coastal city of Mombasa.
The Bankers laid down an early marker by winning the opening Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru, defeating Kabras Sugar 19-12 in the final to collect maximum points.

After a slight bump in the road at the Dala 7s in Kisumu,where a quarterfinal slip saw them finish fifth, KCB stormed back to the top in style over the weekend at the RFUEA Grounds.
The Bankers retained their Kabeberi 7s title for a fifth straight season with a 14-12 victory over a spirited Strathmore Leos side in the Main Cup final, sweeping two of the opening three legs to reclaim the overall circuit leadership.

Trailing directly behind the Bankers in the race for the national crown are Kabras Sugar and Kenya Harlequin, completing the top three on the circuit log.
The Sugarmen sit six points off the top in second place with 51 points. After finishing as runners-up at Prinsloo with 19 points, Kabras seized momentum by winning the Dala 7s title in Kisumu to earn 22 points, but an early quarterfinal exit at Kabeberi saw them bank just 10 points and relinquish the overall lead back to KCB.
Kenya Harlequin sit third overall with 45 points. The Ngong Road side has posted identical fourth-place finishes in all three tournaments Prinsloo, Dala, and Kabeberi banking 15 points at every stop to maintain a firm grip on the bronze position heading to the coast.

The rest of the top five features Menengai Oilers in fourth place with 43 points, having recovered from a quiet opener in Nakuru to reach the final at Dala and capture third place at Kabeberi.
Strathmore Leos round out the upper standing in fifth place with 39 points, powered by their impressive run to the Kabeberi final.
Lower down the log, Mwamba RFC and Daystar Falcons are locked in a tie for sixth place on 35 points, followed by Nondescripts RFC with 31 points, Blak Blad with 28 points, and both MMUST and Nakuru RFC tied on 20 points.
With three legs down and three to go, focus now shifts to the Mombasa Sports Club for the fourth stop on the tour, the Driftwood Sevens, scheduled for August 22–23.
