- Kabras Sugar, Nondescripts, Kenya Harlequins, and KCB Rugby have all secured their places in the last four.
- Kabras will face Nondies, while KCB take on Harlequins in the Main Cup semifinals at the Nakuru Athletic Club.
The Prinsloo 7s 2026 has hit its peak moment, with the first leg of the SportPesa National Sevens circuit reaching the main cup semifinals on Sunday at the Nakuru Athletic Club.
Having kicked off on Saturday, the opening leg of the six-tournament series delivered thrilling Main Cup quarterfinal action on Sunday morning.
Kabras Sugar, Nondescripts, Kenya Harlequins, and KCB Rugby have all secured their places in the last four and will now battle for a spot in the final later this afternoon.

Kabras defeated Daystar Falcons 31-12 to set up an exciting semifinal clash against Nondescripts, who edged out KU Blak Blad 12-7.
Reigning overall champions KCB comfortably overcame hosts Nakuru RFC 19-0 to book a semifinal date with 2024 overall champions Harlequins, who defeated MMUST RFC 14-7.

Kabras Sugar vs Daystar Falcons Match Report
Just two minutes into the game, Kabras, who are looking to improve on last season’s eighth-place finish, showed their intent.
From a ruck on the right, Jackson Siketi received the ball before offloading to Rayvon Ambale, who sliced through the Falcons’ defense to hand his side a 5-0 lead after the conversion was missed.
It did not take long for the Sugar Millers to strike again. Griffin Chao shrugged off his marker on the left wing to score their second try, extending Kabras’ advantage to 10-0.
Falcons responded minutes later after piling pressure inside the Kabras 22. Paul Murwa found space on the left, brushed past the defense, and scored before successfully converting to cut the deficit to 10-7.
Just before halftime, the university side grabbed the lead through a well-worked move.
Moses Keraguri latched onto a brilliant offload from Augustine Owino before bursting through the defense to score, giving Falcons a 12-10 advantage at the break.
Kabras came out firing in the second half. Ambale combined brilliantly with Siketi, who weaved past several defenders before returning the favor, allowing Ambale to complete his brace and restore Kabras’ lead at 24-12.
Siketi then wrapped up the victory with a converted try, sealing a 31-12 win and sending Kabras into the Main Cup semifinals, while Falcons will now shift their focus to the fifth-place semifinals.
Blak Blad vs Nondescripts Match Report
The second Main Cup quarterfinal saw Nondescripts face KU Blak Blad in a tightly contested encounter.
Blak Blad struck first through a converted try by Archadias Kwesa Huku, giving them a 7-0 lead heading into halftime.
Lamech Amebtsa reduced the deficit early in the second half with an unconverted try before Nondies found another gear moments later.
Timothy Lugalia powered over for the decisive try before converting it himself, helping Nondies claim a hard-fought 12-7 victory and book their place in the semifinals.
KU Blak Blad will now compete in the fifth-place semifinals.
MMUST RFC vs Kenya Harlequins Match Report
Kenya Harlequins were quick off the blocks, opening the scoring through Ramadhan Masete, whose converted try handed them an early 7-0 lead.
Their advantage, however, was short-lived as MMUST responded almost immediately.
Flavian Otiyo, who had impressed throughout the group stages, burst through the Quins defense before touching down between the posts and converting his own try to level the scores at 7-7 by halftime.
In a fiercely contested second half, Harlequins eventually found the breakthrough.
Albert Alela spotted space on the right wing, beat his marker, and dotted down between the posts, making the conversion straightforward as Quins secured a 14-7 victory to return to the Main Cup semifinals.
KCB Rugby vs Nakuru RFC Match Report
The reigning champions made their intentions clear from the opening minutes.
Floyd Wabwire collected the ball on the left wing, shrugged off the Wanyore defense, and beat Christan Ojwang before scoring the opening try. Brian Wahinya added the conversion for a 7-0 lead.
Minutes later, Wahinya turned provider, producing a clever offload to Festus Shiasi, who sprinted through a gap in the defense to extend KCB’s advantage to 12-0.
Nakuru struggled to contain KCB’s attacking momentum, and before halftime Vincent Onyancha surged through the right to score another try. Wahinya converted once again as KCB took a commanding 19-0 lead into the break.
Neither side managed to add to the scoreboard in the second half, with the Bankers comfortably seeing out the contest to secure their place in the Main Cup semifinals.
