Two second-half goals from Andrew Juma and Amza Mubarak secured a bronze medal for Bandari FC at Kwale Stadium, defeating KCB FC 2-0 in the FKF Cup 2026 third place playoff.
After a tightly contested and scoreless first half, the Dockers broke the deadlock following the halftime interval when Juma found the back of the net with fifteen minutes to play to put his side ahead.
Mubarak then doubled the advantage to seal the victory, ensuring the coastal side walked away with a podium finish to wrap up their cup campaign.
The first shot on target came in the fourth minute when Darius Msagha latched onto a loose ball after an Erick Balecho shot ricocheted off the KCB defense; however, the resultant effort was parried away by the KCB goalkeeper.
The Bankers responded almost immediately. A swift run by Kelvin Etemesi culminated in a cross that found the unmarked Richard Omondi, but his header was too feeble to trouble Alain Ngeleka.
KCB then had a golden opportunity to take the lead after a short pass in the backline by Abdallah Hassan was intercepted by Vincent Ondabu. Ondabu drove into the box but failed to capitalize, sending his shot agonizingly wide.
Bandari’s closest chance of the half came with two minutes left on the clock before the break, when Amza Mubarak’s header was cleared off the line by Clyde Senaji.
With just seconds remaining before the halftime whistle, Boniface Omondi delivered a perfectly timed ball to an unmarked Ondabu at the back post. However, the glorious chance was wasted as Ondabu headed directly into Alain Ngeleka’s arms, ensuring the match went into the break on level terms.
At the start of the second half, Collins Mwalati—who replaced Clifford Otieno in midfield for Bandari—came close to scoring, but his shot on the rebound missed the post by inches.

Ten minutes into the second half, the Bankers again came close to opening the scoring, shifting from defense to attack in a matter of seconds.
Goalkeeper Elvis Ochieng caught the ball and immediately launched a counter-attack to Ondabu on the left wing. Ondabu smartly switched play to the right, finding Boniface Omondi with only the keeper to beat, but his one-on-one effort was saved from close range by Ngeleka.
A series of missed half chances followed up in the next fufteen minutes but it was Amza Mubarak’s long range effort that almost went into the back of the net save for a tip save by Ochieng’.
Bnadari eventually found the back of the net in the 76th minute as a Darius Msagha cross yielded fruits at the back post with his captain Andrew Juma heading home.The dockers doubled the scores four minutes later as Msagha beat the offside trap again delivering a pinpoint pass with Amza netting from the ensuing melee.
