The law enforcers are eager to maintain their momentum today to keep their trophy ambitions alive and secure a return to the CAF Confederation Cup.
Bandari FC on the other are entering this clash knowing the FKF Cup remains their ultimate path to silverware and a historic return to continental football.
After a resilient run through the earlier rounds, including a spectacular 5-2 victory over Mfalme FC in the quarterfinals, the Dockers have shown they can penetrate any backline.
They will be looking to replicate their historic 2019 cup triumph, which they won under Bernard Mwalala, who is now back at the helm and eager to lead them to the final once again.
What was said before the match?
Nicholas Muyoti (Kenya Police Head Coach) addressing members of the press after the 1-0 win over Shabana at Gusii.
“We know cup football punishes even the smallest lapse in concentration. Our players understand the responsibility because this club has worked extremely hard over the last two seasons to build a winning culture. We are approaching this semi-final with seriousness, humility and belief.”
Bernard Mwalala (Bandari FC Head Coach) while speaking to the club’s media team.
“I build a team on hard work, dedication, persistence, a winning mentality and discipline. This philosophy is the cornerstone of our approach, and despite external factors, my focus remains steadfast on this core values. Our goals are clear; a top-five league finish and winning the FKF Cup.”
Head-to-Head and Form
This is the third competitive meeting between the two sides this season, with Kenya Police entering the clash in imperious form, currently unbeaten in their last 9 games in all competitions.
Bandari on the other hand have struggled for consistency, securing just 1 win in their last five matches,a 5-2 routing of Mfalme FC in the FKF Cup quarterfinals.

The head-to-head record over their last five matches favors the law enforcers, with Kenya Police winning three of these meetings, while Bandari secured 1 win, and 1 match ended in a goalless draw.
Notably, defensive discipline has defined this fixture, with at least one side recording a clean sheet in all of those last five matches.
The winner of this clash will advance to the final to face either Tusker FC or KCB FC, who battle it out in the early afternoon kickoff of today’s double-header.
