Mohammed Bajaber became a household name in Kenya after his outstanding Harambee Stars cameo against Gambia on Thursday night.
Bajaber, who was introduced in the second half of the game, scored one of the goals to help Kenya secure a 3-3 draw with their West African opponents.
His well taken strike came in the 75th minute when he received a pass from Eric “Marcelo” Ouma before unleashing a ferocious shot into the top corner of the net.
Bajaber’s goal was so good such that even the Gambian players could only stare with disbelief as it kissed the net.
The other Kenyan goals came courtesy of William Lenkupae and the team’s skipper Michael Olunga.

However, despite him being one of the fan favorites in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), very few people are aware about who Bajaber is.

Who is Mohammed Bajaber?
Mohammed Bajaber was born in Nairobi on March 15, 2003. He started his football career at the Starfield Academy, a football institution domiciled in Parklands, Nairobi.

According to reports, Bajaber had trials with Danish based club Midtjylland in 2021 before he eventually signed for Nairobi City Stars.
At Simba wa Nairobi, the gifted player formed a formidable partnership with the likes of Samuel Kapen, who plays for the FKFPL defending champions Gor Mahia at the moment.
After spending several years at Nairobi City Stars, Bajaber signed a deal with Kenya Police FC in the recently closed mid-season transfer window.
The versatile player, who can operate anywhere in the attack, has already scored a couple of goals for Kenya Police FC, including a brace in the clubs 3-1 win over Murang’a Seal in a game that took place at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos last weekend.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with SportPesa Blog after that win that ensured the Law Enforcers maintained their top spot in the FKFPL standings, Bajaber stated that he felt honored to have been given an opportunity to play for Harambee Stars.
“I am glad to have been called up because it is an honour to play for your country, the national team. I hope I can carry on from here and stay humble always,” he offered.
He also showered the new Harambee Stars boss Benni McCarthy with praises, describing him as an amazing coach.
What does the future hold for Mohammed Bajaber?
Bajaber is one of the players that are expected to represent Kenya in the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) that is scheduled to begin in August.

However, before that, the pacey forward will feature in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier fixture against Gabon that is planned to take place on Sunday, March 23 in Nairobi.
More than 21,000 Kenyan fans from different background are expected to attend the clash that will kick off at 4 PM local time.
Bajaber is likely to start that game since McCarthy divulged during his press conference after the 3-3 draw with Gambia that will give a chance to players who started on the bench in the encounter.
