Shabana Fc got themselves back into the top four as they beat Bidco United 1-0 on Sunday afternoon, sending them down to the National Super League (NSL) next season with two games to spare.
Bidco needed the win more than Shabana at Wang’uru stadium, but the dull 90-minute clash did not yield any rewards for them.
They ended up hurting themselves after Stephen Okola fouled Mambote Batshi Assisin the 81st minute. Mambote managed to convert the penalty, handing themselves a bitter relegation.

They become the second side to be relegated and will join Sofapaka, who were already dumped after 17 years in the top flight. As for Bidco, who earned promotion back in 2020, their six-season journey has come to an end.
With two matches remaining worth six points, they cannot reach safety, since the maximum they can get is 30 -three points behind the safe 15th-place spot occupied by Kariobangi Sharks.
In the 32 matches Anthony Akhulia’s charges have played so far this season, they have only managed to secure four wins, twelve draws, and sixteen losses; with their sole victories coming against Gor Mahia, a double over Ulinzi Stars, and Nairobi United.
