Gor Mahia aim to cement summit lead at home against daring Kariobangi Sharks

Gor Mahia will host Kariobangi Sharks at the Kasarani Stadium on Saturday afternoon in Round 27 fixture, with kickoff scheduled for 3:15pm EAT.

The record champions are looking to cement their lead at the summit of the log while the Slum Boys arrive with the urgent ambition of securing points to distance themselves from the relegation scrap.

For the hosts, Gor Mahia are sitting at the top of the table with 56 points. The team has been a dominant force this season, boasting the league’s most dangerous attack.

K’Ogalo has maintained a remarkable 10-match unbeaten streak against the Sharks, and they enter this contest off the back of a consistent run that has kept them four points clear of their closest rivals AFC Leopards.

Kariobangi Sharks, currently sitting in 15th place with 25 points, arrive at Kasarani seeking an upset to spark a climb up the table. It has been a season of struggle for the side, who sit just three points above the relegation spots.

Despite their position, the Sharks are known for their entertaining brand of football, though they have often lacked the clinical edge required to turn promising performances into maximum points.
