- The FKF Cup Round of 16 draw was conducted on Monday.
- The Round of 16 matches will be played from 11-12 April.
- 11 teams from the SportPesa League are still in contention for a continental ticket.
The draw for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Cup Round of 16 was conducted on Monday at the Nyayo National Stadium, setting the stage for teams to continue the chase for a precious ticket to continental football in the 26/27 campaign.
Former Bandari goalkeeper Wilson Oburu and former Gor Mahia attacker Innocent Mutiso served as draw assistants, overseeing a selection that pitted eleven SportPesa League teams, one FKF National Super League club, two division one teams, one regional league club and one non-league team.
Defending champions Nairobi United are set to face a tough test against Posta Rangers as they continue their quest to become the first back-to-back winners since Gor Mahia in 2012.
Meanwhile, 2024 winners Kenya Police will have to be on high alert as they face the tournament’s biggest giant killers BB Bread FC, a regional league side that has already famously eliminated both Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards this season.

Non-league outfit Kuta Collections FC has landed a massive fixture against Kisii-based side Shabana FC.
Shabana are hoping for a maiden major title after back-to-back disappointing exits in the last 16 in the last two years.
FKF National Super League side 3K FC will host Bandari.
The Dockers famously won the cup in 2019 under Bernard Mwalala and will be looking to replicate that with the manager having returned to the club in January.
Division One sides Mfalme FC and Chebaiywa Lions will take on Murang’a Seal and KCB respectively.

Murang’a Seal enter the round looking to build on their third-place finish from 2025 while KCB aims to go one step further than their finalist finish in 2024 where they lost to eventual winners Kenya Police in post-match penalties.
In the all-SportPesa League encounters, heavyweights Tusker face off against Kariobangi Sharks. Tusker will be looking to add a sixth title to their cabinet.
2023 winners Kakamega Homeboyz will host Ulinzi Stars who have interim manager Mulinge Ndeto in place.
The winner of the FKF Cup title will earn Kenya’s only slot in the 26/27 CAF Confederation Cup.
