Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has spoken out after his suspension by Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars.

The club confirmed a three-month suspension for Aucho over allegations of misconduct and absenteeism from duty, a decision that has sparked significant conversation across East African football circles.

The midfielder, who joined the club as a marquee signing to bolster their competitive edge, now finds himself sidelined.

In a direct response to the club’s disciplinary measures, Aucho vehemently denied the claims on his social media platforms.

“I have always carried myself with professionalism throughout my career, representing every club with respect and discipline.

In all my years in football, I have never been involved in any case of indiscipline because I understand the responsibility that comes with being a professional player.”

The veteran midfielder also took the opportunity to address his fans expressing confidence that the truth of the situation would eventually come out

“To my beloved fans who have always stood by me, this situation will come to pass. Thank you for your continued support,” he said.

The former Gor Mahia and Yanga SC Midfielder was suspended on Friday evening in a statement released by the club’s management.

“The club, through its Disciplinary Committee, has reached the decision to suspend midfielder Khalid Aucho for a period of three months.

This action has been taken following investigations into allegations of gross misconduct and persistent absenteeism from duty without authorization,” the club noted.

Meanwhile, the club has also suspended goalkeeper Amas Obasogie for three months as investigations into alleged match-fixing continues.

“Simultaneously, the club has also suspended goalkeeper Amas Obasogie for a period of three months to allow for ongoing investigations into allegations of match-fixing,” read the statement from the club’s Communication office.
