Harambee Starlets have officially named a 34-player provisional squad as Kenya enters the final stretch of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The announcement comes just as the team prepares to report to a residential training camp Sunday on February 15 ahead of the WAFCON tournament which is set to kick off in Morocco from March 17 to April 3.
Ten players who took part in the recently concluded local based mini camp from January 29 to February 6 have been included in the provisional squad including Kenya Police Bullets trip of Annedy Kundu, Medina Abubakar and Lorna Nyabuto.

Kibera Soccer Women FC duo of Goalkeeper Vivian Shiyonzo and defender Mary Majeso are also in while Trinity Starlets are represented by Juliet Adhiambo, Elizabeth Muteshi and Mercyline Mejor.
Ulinzi Starlets captain Diana Shakava completes the list alongside Kayole Starlets utility player Euphraiser Shilwatso.
The 34 player provisional squad has also included eight players from the Kenya Under 20 Women’s National team setup currently in the World Cup Qualifiers.
Diana Onyango, Vidah Okeyo and Lornah Faith have received their maiden callups while captain Fasila Adhiambo joins defenders Lorine Ilavonga and Elizabeth Ochaka as well as forwards Elizabeth Mideva and Valerie Nekesa in the squad.
Conspicuously missing however is experienced Simba Queens midfielder Corazone Aquino.
Aquino who has been a mainstay in the national team was left out of the squad alongside fellow Simba Queens attacking midfielder Cynthia Shilwatso.

The absence of defensive midfielder Lavender Akinyi will be a huge blow with the Ulinzi Starlets player currently in the Military recruits training school.
Fellow soldier Sheryl Angachi is still nursing a knee injury after surgery.
The Starlets secured their place in this year’s tournament after a dominant 4-1 aggregate victory over The Gambia late last year marking a return to continental football after ten years.
Kenya will face Morocco in the tournament opening match on March 17 before battling it out against Senegal on March 20 and completing the group stage against Algeria three days later.
