Kenya’s national rugby sevens teams will be banking heavily on home support when the inaugural leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series Division 2 rolls into Nairobi next month, with Nyayo National Stadium set to host two days of high-octane rugby action on February 14th and 15th.
The men’s team, Shujaa, will officially kick off their Division 2 campaign with a mouthwatering clash against Canada on Saturday, February 14 at 10:50 am.
Earlier on the same morning, Kenya Lionesses will begin their own journey against Brazil at 9:44 am, marking a historic moment as both teams chase promotion back to the elite Division 1.

The HSBC SVNS 2 features six teams in both the men’s and women’s categories and will be played in a league format across three legs.

The tournament will feature a packed schedule across the two days.
On Saturday, February 14, women’s action begins at 9:00 am with China 7s taking on Argentina 7s, followed by Spain versus South Africa.
Kenya Lionesses face Brazil at 9:44 am before later matches against China at 12:46 pm and South Africa at 3:48 pm.
Men’s matches on Saturday start at 10:06 am with USA facing Belgium.
While host Shujaa’s first match against Canada comes at 10:50 am, before further tests against Belgium at 1:52 pm and Germany at 4:54 pm.
Sunday, February 15 will see the competition intensify. The Lionesses will face Argentina at 11:44 am and conclude their home campaign against Spain at 3:56 pm.
Shujaa, meanwhile, will meet Uruguay at 12:50 pm before closing the Nairobi leg with a highly anticipated clash against the USA at 5:02 pm.
With promotion at stake, Kenyan teams will be targeting flawless performances in Nairobi, knowing that a strong home showing could prove decisive later in the season.
