Hamza Mubarak’s first-half penalty was enough to hand Bandari all three points at home against Mathare United.
In Razak Siwa’s second match as coach in an interim capacity, the Dockers downed the Slum Boys to get their third win of the season in the 2025/26 SportPesa League.
The win breaks Bandari’s five-match winless streak to ensure they head into the Christmas break in fourteenth position with seventeen points.

Bandari end winless run as Tusker FC down APS Bomet
For John Kamau’s Mathare, it is now the seventh loss of the campaign and extends their winless run against Bandari to six consecutive matches.
Bandari’s interim coach, Siwa, was delighted with the home win, thanking his boys for a job well done at Mbaraki:
“Winning at home is always the best feeling for any coach, any player, and the home fans. It now comes with an extra motivation to deliver, and we hope to continue with this run. The win has boosted our confidence, and we are just waiting for when the league resumes.”
On his part, Mathare’s head coach John Kamau says they need to work on converting the chances they create:
“We are making a lot of goalscoring opportunities but just fail to finish them. This is an area of concern for us because when you make all these good chances and can’t get even one goal, you have to ask yourself a lot of questions.”

Elsewhere in Awendo, Tusker FC returned to winning ways thanks to a goal in the second half by substitute Dennis Oguta.
Oguta’s lone goal against APS Bomet sealed all three points for the Brewers, who climb to second on the log, albeit temporarily, pending Monday’s matches.
League action continues on Monday when Mara Sugar host Murang’a Seal, Sofapaka play Kariobangi Sharks, Kakamega Homeboyz welcome Police FC, while Ulinzi Stars battle it out against Posta Rangers.
