Tusker FC made it three wins on the bounce as they climbed joint top of the SportPesa League 25/26 table after comfortably dispatching a struggling Sofapaka side 0-2 on Sunday afternoon at the Kasarani Annex.
Ian Simiyu netted a second-half brace to deliver three vital points for Charles Okere’s side, lifting them to second place with 21 points- level with Kenya Police FC, separated only by goal difference after 13 rounds of the top-flight campaign.

Tusker FC beat Sofapaka 2–0
The opener arrived in the 70th minute when Simiyu, surging down the left wing, drove toward the corner before unleashing a powerful strike toward goal.
The effort slipped through the legs of Sofapaka goalkeeper Edward Olaka, handing Tusker the lead.
His second also stemmed from a well-worked move, sparked by substitute Eric Kapaito.
After winning possession brilliantly on the right, Kapaito cut the ball back to the edge of the area, where the sensational Simiyu collected it alone and calmly slotted home to seal the win in the 78th minute.
While Tusker celebrated their third straight triumph, Ezekiel Akwana’s side saw their struggles deepen, extending their winless run to five SportPesa League matches with just one point taken from that period (4L, 1D).
Sofapaka, who were high-flying last season and even thrashed Tusker during that campaign 7-1, have now dropped to 17th place with 12 points from a possible 36.

They sit just one spot above bottom-placed Kariobangi Sharks, who have eight points so far.
Tusker will look to continue their perfect run when they face another struggling side, Nairobi United, on Tuesday.
Sofapaka, meanwhile, must regroup quickly before taking on Mathare United on Wednesday.
