Nairobi United will be aiming to return to winning ways in the SportPesa League when they face Posta Rangers on Monday evening at the Kasarani Annex, concluding the 25/26 season’s twelfth round.

Having suffered consecutive defeats last month in their maiden CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage appearance against Wydad AC and Maniema Union, the newly promoted side resumed domestic action last Thursday only to fall 1-0 to Mathare United.

Kevin Odour secured the three points for the Slum Boys, handing Nicholas Muyoti’s squad their third defeat of the campaign.

Posta Rangers vs Nairobi United preview

Currently 12th in the standings with 12 points, NaiBois will be pursuing their fifth victory of the season, which could propel them as high as eighth place.

Their away form has been strong, with two wins and just one loss from three matches, and they will now seek to improve that record further.

They face a determined Posta Rangers side, who have begun a new chapter under head coach Collins Omondi.

He will be targeting a second straight win following the recent departure of former manager Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo.

In his first match in charge, Omondi secured three crucial points with a narrow 1-0 victory over Bidco United at the Kasarani Annex, thanks to Brian Chonjo’s strike.

The result not only marked his debut win but also ended the team’s seven-match winless streak.

Rangers will now aim to build on that momentum as they chase a fifth season win, which could lift them from their current seventh position (16 points) into at least the top four.

Additionally, the Mailmen remain unbeaten at home this season, with one win and three draws from four matches- a record they are determined to preserve.

This encounter marks the first SportPesa League meeting between the two clubs, with each side eager to establish dominance and reignite a competitive rivalry as they pursue their respective objectives.

Goals have featured in each of Nairobi United’s last five matches, a trend mirrored by Posta Rangers, ensuring every recent outing has seen at least one strike. This suggests another tightly contested and lively affair is in store.
