South Africa head coach Hugo Broos has unveiled the final 25-man squad that will represent the country in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 tournament set to take place in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

The team is set to feature a mix of experienced campaigners alongside fresh talent that Broos hopes will help Bafana Bafana edge closer to a second continental crown since their maiden victory back in 1996.

The squad has 16 local based players and 9 foreigners.

Ronwen Williams, who will captain the side, headlines the squad and will be joined by Ricardo Goss and Orlando Pirates’ Sipho Chaine in the goalkeeping department.

Mamelodi Sundowns teammates Khuliso Mudau and Aubrey Modiba have made the cut in defense where they will be relied upon to provide defensive and attacking thrust from their full back positions.

Queens Park Rangers’ Tylon Smith has also been picked as part of Rising Stars contingent that also has Khulumani Ndamane, Thabang Matuludi and Mbekezeli Mbokazi.

Teboho Mokoena leads the midfield players that also has Bathusi Aubaas, Thalente Mbatha and Sphephelo Sithole.

Up front, English Premier League star Lyle Foster from Burnley is expected to lead the line alongside Orlando Pirates’ Evidence Makgopa.
