Gor Mahia will host SportPesa League debutants APS Bomet in a rescheduled league fixture on Tuesday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi with kickoff slated for 4PM.
This will be the first meeting between the two clubs who find themselves on either side of the table.
Record champions K’Ogalo continue to lead the table despite having two matches in hand, while Bomet find themselves in a tricky situation after a turbulent start to the season that leaves them last on the log.

Coming into this match, Gor Mahia have managed to maintain a strong backline, conceding only twice in their first eight matches of the season – against Ulinzi Stars and Bidco United.
The two goals conceded have all been at Kasarani Stadium. On the other side, the Bomet-based side have struggled to keep their backline impermeable, having just kept one clean sheet in their eight matches which came in a goalless draw against Bidco United.
Of the eight matches played, Gor, coached by Ghanaian Charles Akonnor, have secured six wins, a draw and one loss (inflicted in gameweek one against Bidco). In that period, they scored twelve goals and kept six clean sheets.
Bomet, on their part, have just one win, bagged away against Kariobangi Sharks at the Kasarani Annex.
Gor Mahia vs APS Bomet Team News
In their first top-flight season, they have conceded twelve goals and only scored half of those on the other end. They have managed one win, two draws, and five losses in the matches played.
Gor are likely to rest Enock Morrison, who has been a key player for them this season. The Ghanaian has accumulated four yellow cards and a potential fifth would mean he misses the crucial Mashemeji Derby against AFC Leopards over the weekend. His place would likely be taken by Fidel Origa.
The Green Army will be banking on the services of Felix Oluoch, who has scored the joint-most goals in the league and Byrne Omondi, who leads the clean sheet chart with five to his name.
For Bomet, a familiar face in Enock Wanyama will lead the line. The winger featured for two seasons at Gor Mahia before departing. Hansel Ochieng’ will also be crucial for them as he has scored three goals already this campaign.

Ahead of the match, Gor Mahia custodian Byrne Omondi has credited a strong defense system for the success.
“As keepers, we are really pushing each other, and the backline has been very good. They protect me from a lot of shots and action. It’s all about the team spirit and how we push each other.”
A win for K’Ogalo will see them extend their lead to four points at the top of the table, while a victory for Bomet would move them a position higher, to seventeenth on the log.
