Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia will step onto the Kasarani Stadium turf this afternoon with one mission – revenge.
The Charles Okere–coached Tusker FC got the better of K’Ogalo last season, picking up four points from their two league meetings, and that is something the league leaders have not forgotten.
Gor Mahia, currently perched at the top of the table with 16 points, head into today’s fixture with confidence and momentum.

Charles Akonnor’s charges have played seven matches so far, winning five, drawing one, and losing only once.
Their solidity has been evident across the pitch, especially defensively, where they have conceded just two goals – the best defensive record in the league.
Offensively, they have been just as sharp, finding the back of the net 11 times, the highest tally so far.
Tusker, meanwhile, sit seventh on the log with 12 points after nine games. Their campaign has been one of mixed results, three wins, three draws, and three losses.
The Brewers have scored nine goals and conceded eight, a ratio that will concern Okere as they prepare to face a Gor Mahia side that has been ruthless in attack.
The confidence in Gor Mahia’s camp is not in short supply, and midfielder Enock Morrison issued a warning to teams that frustrated them last season.

“If you are a team that took any points from Gor Mahia last season, just prepare when we meet, because we are taking back our points,” he said, sending a clear message ahead of the Tusker showdown.
Tusker’s Okere acknowledges the threat posed by the league leaders but believes his players are capable of rising to the challenge.
“It’s going to be an interesting and tactical game. We need a win after coming from a loss,” Okere noted as he prepared his charges for the crunch tie.
On the opposite bench, Gor Mahia’s technical team has hinted at possible squad rotation due to a congested fixture schedule.
“It’s going to be a tough week with three matches, so we need to manage the boys well. We are confident of securing a win,” said Akonnor.
In their last five meetings, Gor Mahia have won twice, Tusker have one victory and two encounters have ended in draws, a sign that this fixture remains one of the league’s most competitive.
