The Kenya Morans continued their dominance at the 2025 Zambezi 7s Rugby Challenge, securing their place in the finals after a commanding 61-0 victory over Old Georgians in the main cup semi-final on Sunday afternoon.
The Morans, the second-string side of the men’s national rugby 7s team, have maintained an impregnable defense, yet to concede a single point in the tournament held at Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe.

Their dominance run from the group stages has firmly positioned them as favorites to claim the 2025 Zambezi 7s title.

In the semi-final clash, they drew first blood just 40 seconds into the match. Speedster Victor Mola sliced through the Georgians’ defense to score, with Rayvon Ambale adding the extras for an early 7-0 lead.
Old Georgians attempted to establish momentum midway through the first half, but the Morans struck back with a devastating counter-attack.
Ambale finished the move and slotted the conversion, before Dennis Abukuse crossed the whitewash for a try of his own, extending the lead to 21-0 at the break.
The second half Morans picked up right where the first left off, with Abukuse dotting down for his second shortly after kick-off. Ambale’s unblemished kicking record continued, pushing the score to 28-0.
The Kevin Wambua-coached side piled on the pressure, with John Okoth powering over for the fifth try. Jackson Siketi then joined the scoresheet, and with the successful conversion, the Morans led 42-0.

The team surpassed the half-century mark as Floyd Wabwire, coming off the bench, blitzed the defense with two rapid tries.
Another score from Ambale sealed the comprehensive 61-0 triumph, setting the stage for the final.
