Round six of the Sportpesa League 25/26 kicks off on Tuesday afternoon as Sofapaka hosts Mara Sugar at the Dandora Stadium, starting at 3 PM.
Batoto Ba Mungu return to action following a two-week rest , their recent match being a 2-1 away win against Murang’a Seal at the Sportpesa Arena.

That victory was their first of the 2025/26 season after a difficult start that saw them record two losses and a draw in their opening three fixtures.
Mara Sugar, on the other hand, is coming off a goalless draw from their most recent match over the weekend, where they hosted Bidco United at the Awendo Green Stadium.
This fixture marks only the third meeting between the two teams since the Millers’ promotion to the top flight at the start of the season. Both previous encounters ended in 1-1 draws.
Ezekiel Akwana’s Sofapaka will be hoping to reverse a poor run of results at home, having lost both their home matches this season,0-1 to Kakamega Homeboyz and 0-2 to Gor Mahia.
Mara Sugar, for their part, will be aiming to secure just their third win in 10 matches.
The Millers’ head coach, Edward Manoah, spoke before the match, expressing concern about off-pitch factors impacting the team.
“I have noticed that there’s a lot of negative pressure around the team.
That kind of pressure doesn’t build. Most of these young players have done well because they have never played in the premier league before.”
A win for Sofapaka would lift them out of the relegation zone, while victory for Mara Sugar would propel them to fourth place on the log.
