Ulinzi Starlets secure first win of the season

Ulinzi Starlets secured their first win of the 25/26 Football Kenya Federation Women Premier League campaign after recording an emphatic 4-0 victory over Kisped in the Sunday early kickoff match staged at the Ulinzi Sports Complex.

New signing Linda Okoside scored her first for the club, opening the scores in the 34th minute for the only goal of the opening half.

The second half saw central defender Lorine Ilavonga rising highest for the second of the match and her maiden goal for the club.

Lavender Akinyi scored the third before Jackline Chesang, recently signed from Trinity, sealed the 4-0 scoreline.

The result means Ulinzi have extended their unbeaten run to 22 matches.

Only Vihiga Queens 24 and Police Bullets 23 have a better unbeaten streak

The last time they lost was on gameweek one of the 2024/25 FKF Women’s Premier League season in a 1-0 defeat to Vihiga Queens at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.

Ulinzi Stars head coach Collins Ochieng’ remains unbeaten in 14 matches since taking charge of Ulinzi.
