Kenya Police Bullets maintained their winning start to the season in the Kenya Women Premier League, securing a 3-0 victory against Zetech Sparks in the match played at the Police Sacco Stadium in South C, Nairobi.
Police took the lead in the first half when Kenya Under-20 midfielder Vidah Okeyo pulled off a moment of magic. She struck the ball from distance after spotting Zetech Goalkeeper Melvin Guya off her line, giving Police the advantage.
In the 40th minute, Police doubled their lead. Margaret Kunihira got past Christabel Odiya and Firdhaus Abdallah before squaring a pass, which was dummied by Emily Moranga for Puren Alukwe to slot home.
In extra time of the first half, Zetech came close to halving the deficit when Beverline Adika cleverly rounded Police Goalkeeper Annette Kundu. However, her shot was cleared off the line by Anne Norah, ensuring the match remained 2-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Diana Wacera secured the win for the back to back champions with a well taken shot from the 18-yard box that hit both sides of the Woodwork before settling into the net.
The win means Police are now second on the table, level on points with Vihiga Queens but with one less goal in the goal difference column.
Kenya Police Bullets Head Coach David Bujego was delighted with the result, speaking to members of the press after the match, Vijago said.
“Breaking down this team is not an easy job; teams will have to work for it,” he said. “I’m happy with the progress. The girls are showing what they can do on and off the ball, and the style of play is slowly being integrated into the team.”

On her part, Zetech Sparks Head Coach Harriet Fakhir rued the missed chances in the defeat.
“We didn’t convert the chances we got today,” she noted. “It becomes hard to win when you don’t utilize the chances. I’ve told the girls to now focus on the upcoming matches and try to collect as maximum points as possible.”
Elsewhere, Vihiga Queens extended their lead at the top of the table after Gameweek Two, thanks to a brace from new signing Airin Madalina and a penalty from Martha Amunyollette. The record FKF Women’s Premier League champions secured a 3-1 win against Kibera Soccer, with Faith Mboya opening her account for the season and scoring Kibera’s consolation goal.
In Homabay, it was the Euphrasier Shilwatso show. The midfielder contributed to all three of her team’s goals, scoring a second-half brace including a stoppage time winner and registering a first half assist in Kayole Starlets’ 3-2 away win over Gideon Starlets at the Raila Odinga Stadium.

Gideon’s goals were scored by Stacy Koech and Triza Ekeza. The victory was Kayole’s first of the season after their Gameweek 1 setback to Police Bullets, while this result makes it two straight losses for debutants Gideon Starlets.
In the final match of the day, Trinity Starlets bagged their second win of the season with a dominant display over Bungoma Queens at the Comboni Polytechnic in Gilgil. Trinity beat Bungoma Queens 3-1 to pick up six points out of a possible six in their first two matches of the season.
