- The Main Cup quarterfinal fixtures for Safari 7s 2025 have been confirmed for Sunday, 11 October, at Nyayo National Stadium.
- Kenya Shujaa will take on Nyati, while Shogun squares off against the French Renegades.
- The Kenya Morans will face UK Select, as KCB Rugby goes head-to-head with Zimbabwe.
After two thrilling days of matchday action for the Safari 7s 2025 group stage on Friday and Saturday, the action now narrows to the final eight teams, promising a spectacular Sunday showdown at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The men’s category featured 12 teams, divided into three pools of four.
Pool A saw the reigning champions, Kenya Shujaa, dominate proceedings, winning all three of their matches played on Saturday after their Friday game was postponed.

As a result, they topped the group, with the UK Select side securing second place with two victories. Meanwhile, French Rugby managed a solitary win, and Uganda’s Walukuba ended the pool without a single triumph.
Pool B was headlined by the 2024 runners-up, Shogun Rugby, who also maintained a perfect record to top the group.
They were closely followed by the SportPesa National Sevens Circuit reigning champions, KCB, who garnered two wins.

The university select side, Nyati, earned a single win to finish third, while the Uganda Rugby Cranes ended their pool stage without a win.
Pool C was topped by the national sevens second team, the Kenya Morans, who also boasted a perfect record, winning all three of their matches.
Zimbabwe finished as runners-up with two wins, while Reunion managed a single win. Apache lost all three of their contests.

As a result, the last eight teams are poised to deliver an even more electrifying spectacle.
The day’s first quarterfinal will kick off with Shogun taking on the French Renegades, who emerged as the best third-placed team from Pool A. The Kenya Morans will then face the UK Select in the second quarterfinal.
KCB Rugby will square off against Zimbabwe, while Shujaa will seek a spot in the main cup semifinal when they confront the Nyati side.
Meanwhile, in the women’s category, six teams have advanced to the main cup quarterfinals.
The Uganda Ladies Cranes will face the Kenya Cubs, Shogun Ladies will compete against Tunisia, and the Kenya Lionesses will take on their fellow countrywomen, the Mwamba Select side.
